The company that would go on to become Girard Perregaux was founded in Switzerland in 1887 by Otto Graef, who manufactured watches under the name MIMO. When popularity of wrist watches soared during World War I, MIMO switched production to the new watches as pocket watches all but disappeared. Graef's sons purchased Girard Perregaux in 1928 and eventually retired the MIMO name.

This is a charming example of those early pocket watches, looking more like a fun ladybug pin than a pocket watch. And in blue! Enamel in great condition, face very good with a minor loss to silver detail. Watch is not running.

Watch is marked as shown in pictures, Swiss MIMO Watch Co. Argent D'Ore, Sterling Silver, 0.3555, probably gold mark (9 karat), then Swiss mark, then serial number.

Sterling watch pin is excellent. Marked on back Sterling with various numbers and letters. Probably German.

Measures 2 1/8" entire length.

Charming and unique!
