How long will this hoop last before tarnishing? It will last years if you avoid saltwater, chlorine, and harsh chemicals. This hoop works best if you live in a dry arid climate. Exposure to humidity and water can shorten the life span of the protective coated black. I live in Colorado and do not have sensitive skin and would highly recommend this to those who fit these criteria and want a high-quality nose hoop at a low price.

THICKNESS:

···  24 Gauge (as thin as a needle)

24 gauge nose rings are very thin, subtle, and malleable.  If you need to take your nose hoop out daily, I recommend a thicker gauge nose hoop. 

···  22 Gauge (similar thickness to mechanical pencil lead)

22 gauge nose rings are thin and more durable than the 24 gauge. 

··· 20 Gauge (thickest, standard gauge used for new piercings)

20 gauge black nose rings are the thickest and suitable for customers who need to take out their nose hoops daily.

Follow these simple steps on how to determine what size of nose ring is best for you:

To measure your nose piercing for a nose ring, use a ruler to measure the distance from your piercing to the bottom edge of your nose in millimeters. If your measurement is between sizes, I offer custom half sizes! (reference the infographic in the product photos for a tutorial)
