A beautiful antique 19thc French quilt cotton pelmet piece or larger fragment. Beautiful Indienne block paisley variation. Lovely classic French madder dye with black & a burnished apricot/terra cotta tone. The ground is a natural. Beautifully hand quilted. About the 1850's-70's.

Measures~ 23" wide by 15" tall (plus the extra where there is a missing portion)

Appears in good order and clean for it's age. Albeit, the portion at the top which should be trimmed away.

Perfect for an abundance of unique projects, creative pillow & historic clothing, bag elements  & could be used as a window element; could be modified to fit larger windows by adding  to the upper sides/top etc..Even a lovely decorative shelf or narrow cupboard styling piece.
