the SN74HC165N is a small clean chip that will require up to 8 parallel input cables and will produce a single serial output. This is a good way to increase the number of inputs to the microcontroller.
This breakthrough makes it easy to break all the standard 0.1 "step pins you need using the prototype 74hc165. We also list the data lines and power pins so that you can easily make your storage pins and expand the output that is under your control.
The chip can be used for any voltage source in the range of 2-6vdc, and the clock frequency is as high as 29mhz (@ 6vdc).
