This series of programmes will take us to classic stations, depots andother railway locations around Britain, where the locomotives, liveries androlling stock are from an era that is now long gone.

Loco-hauled passenger and freight trains are in abundance, but we will seeshunters and multiple units as well.

Volume 2 in the series of programmes takes us to three famous railwaylocations.

Chapter 1: Norwich station on a Summer Saturday - 6th August 1988 to beprecise, and the station activity is almost non-stop as we look at thecross-country holiday trains, London services and local trains.

Hauled passenger trains are in the hands of Class 31s, 47s and 86s though aclass 37 makes an appearance.

On the unit front, Derby and Metro-Cammell units are seen and even a Clactonunit makes an appearance.


Chapter 2: Newport in 1985 & 1990
Always a magnet for the enthusiast, Newport station reverberates to thesound of 33s, 37s and 47s with 31s & 56s making an appearance. Liveries ofcourse are from that period.

Chapter 3: Milford Junction in West Yorkshire is the scene for HEAVY freightin 1992.
Naturally, 56s are the staple motive power but 31s, 37s, 47s, 58s and brandnew 60s also appear.
