Up for sale is a very rare 1986 George Brett Jiffy Pop First Annual Collectors Edition Baseball Card Disc. George was a member of the Kansas City Royals and one of the greatest students of hitting the game of major league baseball has ever seen. He's a Hall of Fame third basemen.

The condition is acceptable, which is judged to be "very good" in this instance. Please read the description very carefully. The disc has some imperfections, including surface scratches, soiling, miscellaneous marks/dots some edge/perimeter wear, and discoloration due to age.

Despite its flaws, it would make a great addition to the collection of any fan of George Brett, the Kansas City Royals, or "oddball" baseball cards or memorabilia. Please see photos for more information.

The disc for sale is #4 out of 20. The entire set, of which the item for sale is a part, is described below.

The 1986 Jiffy Pop/MSA Promo Discs baseball set features 20 Major League stars from the mid-1980s, produced by Mike Schecter Associates. The set was distributed to restaurant patrons and as a food trade show promotion. Each circular card measures 2-7/8” in diameter with player photo, the Jiffy Pop name, the player’s name position and team surrounded by a bold yellow border. Red stars flank the Jiffy Pop name on either side and a blue banner below the player’s photo states that this is the “1st Annual Collectors’ Edition.” The fronts do not show team logos or have the emblems airbrushed out due to not having a license from Major League Baseball. The backs show the “MSA” logo with an explanation of Michael Schecter Associates’ mission and services. Highlights of this unnumbered set include George Brett (the disc for sale), Don Mattingly, Cal Ripken, Jr., Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan & Mike Schmidt.

Brett's 3,154 career hits are second most by any third baseman in major league history (after Adrian Beltre's 3,166) and rank 18th all-time. He is one of four players in MLB history to accumulate 3,000 hits, 300 home runs, and a career .300 batting average (the others being Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Stan Musial. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 on the first ballot and is the only player in MLB history to win a battting title  in three different decades.

Baseball historian Bill James regards him as the second-best third baseman of all time, trailing only his contemporary, Mike Schmidt. In 1999 he ranked Number 55 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Baseball Players,  and was nominated as a finalist for the Major League Baseball All-Century Team.
