Antique METTLACH Villeroy & Boch of  Germany.  5 blue & white border tiles. These tiles have a spongeware look to them . They would look good sitting on easels mixed in with a collection of antique spongeware pottery or white ironstone.   Each tile measures 5 5/8" x 2 7/8" and are an average of 1/4" thick. The backs are stamped in the clay and read VILLEROY & BOCH METTLACH. Condition is good with a bit of corner and edgeware.
