The typical shape of the Weitling is ancient and has a long tradition in Austria, especially as a dough bowl. Weitlings are enamel bowls with two large handles so that even heavy dough can be transported easily and safely. Our Weitlinge all have the typical beaded edge (that's what the curved edge is called in enamel language). The Weitlings are available from small to large, because they are popular and versatile helpers or serving dishes in the kitchen when baking and cooking.
The material enamel consists of iron that was fused with glass at high temperatures, i.e. from natural raw materials.
The non-porous, smooth glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. This is aroma-neutral and bacteria-inhibiting and is also easy to clean. When used properly and cared for, enamel tableware lasts for a long time and retains its typical shine.
use
The Weitling is a versatile dish and, depending on its size, is not only suitable for kneading dough, but also for serving salad or fruit. The little Weitlings can also be used to prepare morning muesli or serve spreads, nuts, snacks, cookies and much more
Tip
Dark marks on the enamel of the Weitling (e.g. after using a whisk or mixer) are usually abrasion from cutlery or metal kitchen utensils. These can be easily done with the RIESS enamel cleaner or a mild scouring cream.
