Antique French Empire jewelry box. Manufactured in France, in the first
quarter of the 19th century.
Richly decorated with Empire ornaments;
The entire gilded frame is decorated with vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
On the side of the chest are 2 medallions. A mascaron is depicted on each leg,
and a cornupia is depicted on the lock plate. (Cornucopia).
The crystal 'body' of the casket is made of Bamboo-Cut. The lid has both a bamboo
and a diamond pattern. These caskets are also executed as with bottle holders, for perfume bottles.
The box has a few chips on the glass on the front.
Furthermore, the frame on the inside is slightly discolored. (See pictures).

Antieke Franse empire sieradenkist.
Vervaardig in Frankrijk, in het eerste kwart van de 19e eeuw.
Rijkelijk versierd met Empire-ornamenten;
Het gehele vergulde montuur is versierd met wijnbladeren, en
druiventrossen. Aan de zijkant van de kist bevinden zich 2 medaillons.
Op iedere poot is een mascaron afgebeeld, en op de slotplaat staat een
cornupia. (Hoorn des Overvloeds).
Het kristallen 'lichaam' van de kist is uitgevoerd in Bamboo-Cut.
De deksel heeft zowel een bamboo als een diamond patroon.
Deze kisten zijn ook uitgevoerd als met flessenhouders,
voor parfumflessen.
De kist heeft aan de voorkant een paar chipjes van het glas.
Verder is het montuur aan de binnenkant iets aangetast.
