The small Apples they produce can used in sauces, jellies and in chutneys.

Bird Cherry Trees
Bird Cherry, (Prunus padus), is a popular tree. It makes an attractive specimen tree or can be planted as part of a hedge. In April, Bird Cherry produces fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. The flowers are followed by small, bitter fruits, much enjoyed by local wildlife. Bird Cherry’s foliage then turns golden-yellow in autumn for additional seasonal interest.

These trees are cell grown and can be planted straight in to the ground.
As they are young trees, they will benefit from the support of a small stake or cane.
