Original photo postcard of a group of sailors of the Royal Navy.  Postcard produced in Canada.

Cap tallies look like "HMS Calcutta".  This vessel was a cruiser, commissioned in August 1919.  She served as flagship (8th Cruiser Squadron) on the North America and West Indies Station until 1926.  She made frequent visits to ports on the east coast of Canada.

Sailors evidently doing rifle drill.  Visible insignia includes patches for various ranks of Torpedo Man.  HMS Calcutta's armaments included eight 21 inch torpedo tubes, in four twin mounts
