Description

3mm scrim foam. It is a 3mm foam with a backing laminated on both sides. One side is a white felt like backing & other side is a nylon backing. Having a backing either side of the foam helps prevent the foam in the middle being damaged when being stitched. The backing makes it ideal for sewing through when backing vinyl & leather to create a stitched pattern. This is widely used in car trimming for padding door cards, car seats etc. Also used in upholstery when patterns need stitching in to the fabric, especially on headboards.

All our scrim foam is sent folded due to courier restrictions on parcel lengths. Open as soon as received and leave to rest a while, the folding will cause temporary creasing but will have no lasting effect on the scrim foam.
