Hard to find! This PEANUT (Royal Blue) ELEPHANT Ty Beanie BUDDY is a rare find. It was One of the ORIGINAL nine Beanie Buddies and was introduced September 30, 1998. Peanut was made in the Royal Blue color first. Then it was changed to light blue for later Beanies. Introduced September 30, 1998 and retired October 2, 2000. P.E. pellets.
COLLECTOR’S SPECIAL: This Royal Blue Peanut BUDDY has a 1st Gen. Swing Tag and 1st Gen. Tush Tag. VERY RARE.
The 1st Gen. Swing Tag has a five-point yellow star with the words “Beanie Original Buddy” printed inside the star. When Swing Tag is open, the “Ty Europe” on the left side has a “Fareham Hants” address. The following poem is written inside on the right side below the name Peanut:
“Peanut the BEANIE BABY
Made in this royal blue color
Is extremely rare and very valuable!”
The 1st Gen. Tush Tag has writing in red and black. On the front of the Tush Tag is just the ty logo in white letters inside a red heart. There is a black registered trademark symbol to the right of the heart at the bottom. On the back of the Tush Tag is writing in red and black. It shows a copyright date of 1998 and lists P.E. Pellets with other info.

Both 1st Gen. Tags make this PEANUT an extremely rare find. The Royal Blue material is very soft and velvet-like. He does have a pinkish-white lining inside each ear and black button eyes. He also has a knot in his tail. Very soft to the touch.
