A lapis band band was worn by the High Priest of Maat, the goddess of truth, balance, and justice. It is an aggregate of minerals with lazulite in an isometric rock formation. It has a dark sapphire blue color with inclusions of golden pyrite and white calcite. Medieval European magicians and astrologers believed that wearing lapis shielded you from dark powers. It is associated with Jupiter, amplifying wisdom and leadership qualities. It is often used as a stone of truth to be worn for all forms of communications, especially regarding relationships and love. It is reported to help promote solidarity, agreement, compromise, and end marital disputes.
