Product Description

 

1-2 Black English Flint Pieces (approx 100g+ total) with a brown leather holding strip & cotton drawstring pouch. Sourced from the South of England, these Flint pieces are ideal for use with a Carbon Steel Striker. This is high quality deep earth flint, all nodules are checked for that telltale crystal ring of quality before being hand knapped, this is essential to ensuring the flint hasn't been exposed to frost which causes unpredictable fractures and crumbling when put to use.  
 
Included with your English flint is a 12cm x 6cm brown leather strip to comfortably hold the flint whilst striking, the leather can also be cut up into smaller more manageable pieces.

- 1- 2 Flint pieces (depending on selection)
- Cotton Drawstring Pouch
- Brown Leather Strip (Approximately 12cm x 6cm - Colours/Shades will vary from piece to piece)
 
If there is a preference for 1 larger piece or multiple smaller pieces please attach a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate the request. 

Warning: Due to the fact this is a 'knapped' flint it will have very sharp razor-like edges and should be handled with care - this product is not suitable for children. 
 
Please Note: Flint will not produce sparks on it's own. There is sometimes a misconception that the flint can produce sparks, but the flint is merely acting as a scraping blade, and used in conjunction with a carbon steel striker (not included)
