"This was the 1st hand-assembled edition of Snatch #3. After the 3rd printing, Print Mint took over as publisher in 1972, and Snatch was printed on a newspaper press by a commercial printer.  The previous 3 editions had been printed on 5 sheets of paper on a small press and the process of assembling those sheets into books was a cottage industry.  People were supplied with stacks of covers and pages to take home, along with a saddle-stitch stapler, and they were paid by the number of completed books they brought back. The final step in the process was to stack the books into a paper cutter and slice about 1/4 inch off their top edge. When the books reached the retailer, it was common to sticker the price up to 50 cents or more. On most copies, you will find a sticker covering the original price. This copy was never trimmed, never stickered, never circulated, and is in Mint condition except for moderate yellowing." - Don Donahue
