15° Long-Focus Spot Reflector (Bowens S-Type Fitting)

Description

The PIXAPRO 15° Long-Focus Spot Reflector is a special type of silver reflector dish, designed to throw light over long distances, thanks to its narrow 15° beam angle. Unlike using a Standard Spill-Kill reflector with a 15° honeycomb grid, (which absorbs some of the light), this reflector uses a combination of its long, narrow parabolic shape, and is Highly Reflective faceted silver-interior to focus the light, increasing its effective light output and reach. Perfect for use in the studio as a Hair Light, or background light, or for shooting sports or wildlife on location, where you cannot get too close to your subject.

Increase Your Effective Light Output

The PiXAPRO 15° Long-Focus Spot Reflector works especially well with COB LED studio lights, as it has been designed to focus the light more efficiently than the bare LED light. For example, if your light produces 14,000 lumens without any modifiers, adding this reflector will increase your effective light output to approximately 100,000 lumens (results may vary depending on the light itself). This gives you considerably more light to play with. Especially if you have a low-powered COB LED Studio light.

Narrow Light Beam with No Grid

If you have ever needed a narrow beam of light previously, you would generally use a standard reflector in conjunction with a honeycomb grid. The disadvantage of using a grid is that you lose a bit of light, compared to using the reflector by itself. The 15° Reflector naturally produces a narrow beam of light, which negates the need for a grid, so you don’t have to worry about losing any light output.
