Plate will not fit Euro 3 or Euro 4 that could be sold up to September 2012 (UK). Please check the shape, as in some countries it came in later. It is the shape of the joint that is important as in the picture below, which has a welded joint, not a cast steel end like the Euro 3 and Euro 4.
I haven't had reports of the engine management light coming on or limp mode, but had plenty of reports of no problems, once a plate has been fitted.
