For example if you were to select a 12" x 12" Top Plate, the actual plate size would be 11-3/4" x 11-3/4" This top cover come with a spin ring per your specified size. The spin ring itself is made to be over-sized. For example when you specify that you would like a 6" collar, the 6" spin ring would be 6-1/2" ID at the bottom of the spin ring and approx 6-7/8" ID at the top.
