We recommend that you fit your thermolight roof light on a gradient of 40mm in 1000mm to allow any surface water to run off.
We supply a full fitting guide with all of our roof lights and full telephone technical support can be provided.
Prior to fitting your thermolight roof light your on site joiner will need to form a timber kerb up stand 70mm wide x 150mm high leaving a clear opening between the timbers set in by 100mm from size of the roof light you order eg 1000mm x 200mm rooflight set the internal of the timbers to 800mm x 1800mm.
Our thermolight rooflight has a 100mm overhang on all 4 sides to fully cover and overhang the top face of the timber kerb up stand. Your chosen roof covering (Rubber, GRP or felt ) should be applied to your roof, up and over the top face of your timber kerb up stand prior to fitting the roof light. Once completed you can commence fitting. Apply suitable glazing silicone to the top of the timber kerb up stand without compromise. Bed down your thermolight roof light on the silicone beads with equal pressure ensuring no air bubbles are left. Fit a timber baton support internally under the inner pane as shown in the image. (This is a critial part of the installation. Failure to fit this will result in your Lantern becoming defective, falling parts may occur which can cause injury.
