was folded during production. This folding that often caused the strip to split into two pieces.
But, around 1990, the USPS philatelic division began offering unfolded booklet panes to collectors.
Few collectors were immediately aware of the unfolded panes so a relatively small amount were sold,
resulting in a now scarce item.
