Antique Japanese Kutani Porcelain Bowl Signed Terasawa. Dates to very late Meiji or Taisho period. Beautiful bowl featuring a traditional Kutani design with extensive gold gilding. Interior features eleven landscape panels in gilded frames of different shapes. Interior decoration is in excellent condition with all of the original gold gilding intact, including the heavy gilding on the rim. Exterior of bowl is simply decorated with leaves blowing in the wind. Bottom of bowl has gold, handwritten mark, "Terasawa Tsukuru (made)". There is a fine firing hairline running through bowl, visible on base and exterior, with a small firing crack at rim. Foot rim also has a small kiln firing crack. Other side of hairline on interior of bowl is obscured by the decoration, but is visible upon close inspection. Overall in great condition. Large bowl measuring 10" wide and sits a little over 3" tall. Shipped with USPS Mail.
