Set of 4 Antique Green Glass Goblets Art Nouveau/Jugendstil by F.Heckert c.1910

Description: These beautiful bottle-green glass goblets/pokals were made around late  early 1900 - 1910. Goblets are ceremonial drinking vessels, a carry-over from the elegance and pageantry of earlier eras.

They are made of blown glass with applied hollow pedestal and prunts. It is handpainted with white and red and gold enamels - very impressive painting job - the enamel is high raised creating almost relief-like decoration.

The goblets were made by the most famous Fritz Heckert factory established in 1866 in the town of Warnbrunn, Silesia. By the end of 19th century it became one of the leading glass enameling factory, getting medals in trade exhibitions. In the early 1900s Fritz Heckert artists began making decorations in Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) style - these set is one of the examples.

One of the goblets has two flea-bites to the base, other three are in excellent condition. The Fritz Heckert manufacturer's mark is showing on one of the goblets.
