A killer vintage 1980s cocktail dress from Adolfo! Made of a rich, gleaming silk in eye catching and colorful fuschia and red zebra print on black background. High cut neck and fitted sleeves with hidden zippers at end; plunging U shaped neckline in back, all edged in solid black. Gently bell shaped skirt with pleats at hip and hidden pockets. Fully lined in black silk, hidden zipper up back with hook and eye closures. Original silk shoulder pads with bra strap holders.

The quality of construction is really top notch; the skirt has some weight to it as there is a layer of some sort of backing between the body of the dress and the lining; the bodice is doesn’t have it. The extra layer in the provides shape and a nice weight.

Very good condition-there are some popped stitches at bodice lining, and an area at each hip waist seam that looks to be have been hastily restitched on the outside, with some hand basting on the inside. It’s not terribly noticeable, and if you were to wear it with a belt it would be undetectable.

Labelled Adolfo New York, with a separate I. Magnin label; small size 6 and a Union label tucked into side seam of skirt. Clean and ready to wear!
