18th c. O/C Painting of Robert Morris, Declaration of Independence Signer
Portrait of Robert Morris NJ Senator and signer of the Declaration of 
Independence circa 1790. From a Hudson Valley estate purchased in 
southern NJ in the 1970's. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from
insurance company. Housed in a beautiful gold gilt frame. 
The piece has a few blemishes and appears to have been repaired
at some point in the last 40 years. The artist is unknown and we do not
see any signatures but it was clearly painted by a skilled hand. 
Size: 30" x 24" framed and 25" x 20" on stretcher
Age: Circa 1790
Condition: Good condition, expected age wear, scratch lower left, 
repaired cut on face, appears to have had some restoration
