Daffy's Southern Exposure
Original Animation Drawing #6
Warner Bros.
1943

Warner Bros. stored their vintage animation artwork until the late 60s and early 70s and when considered worthless...The art was destroyed.
As a result, most of the original golden era animation art from Warner Bros. cartoons has not survived and what little has survived was salvaged by those who worked on the actual shorts.

Rev Chaney for $20 a week, worked as an animator, a "gag" man, and story developer and saved a large portion of the 30s and 40s Warner animation art.

In this 1943 Looney Tunes short directed by Norman McCabe, Daffy, runs into a fox and a weasel who have been subsisting on nothing but beans. They eagerly scheme on having roast duck for dinner.

This original graphite animation drawing showcases a nicely-centered Daffy measuring approximately 6" x 4.5". It is rendered on 12 field 2-peghole paper and numbered # 6.

While this sequence didn't make it into the final film, the drawings are exceptional and depict Daffy as he appeared during the Golden Age of Animation.

The paper exhibits light handling, toning, and in overall EXCELLENT Condition
