In the provided INSTRUCTIONS is a step by step instruction for installation for Exhaust Flue Vent Kit. The Wall Thimble requires a 6-1/2 diameter hole and is desgned this way to create an air gap so the wall does not heat(burn) excessively from the 3 inch exhaust flue pipe extending through the center of the Thimble. Again to repeat corn burns extremely hot. The Flue Exhaust Hood should not be positioned greater than 5 feet above the T Intersection for the Wall Thimble. The Flue Exhaust Hood should be 4 feet from any window or door. It is easy to install with easy to follow pictures.
FOIL TAPING vs. HIGH TEMPERATURE CAULK: We recommend using Aluminum Foil Tape to tape the pipe seams instead of high temperature caulk. High Temp caulk is permanent and pipe position in immoveable. You may have to move your pipes. If you instead use Aluminum Foil Tape you can cut or peal the tape off and re-position you pipes if need be.
