Royal Doulton stoneware tankard with hunt scene appliqués finished with a sterling silver rim made and applied at Henry Wigfull, Sheffield, circa 1904. Around the upper body three vignettes are placed equidistant around the circumference and around the base a stag is being chased by a succession of hounds, at the end of the line is the horse and rider blowing the hunting horn and giving chase.

Markings: impressed on base with 1902-1922 King Edward VII Royal Warrant backstamp; “2599” form number
Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition.
Excellent antique condition. The hallmarks and touchmarks are clear and legible and the appliqué crisp.
