Antique Chinese Enamel Matchbox Holder Match Safe. Republic period export piece. Beautiful repousse decoration depicting squirrels eating grapes on vines. Enameled in shades of blue and purple. Match safe sits on four feet, each enameled blue with key pattern. Base of holder has a "CHINA" export mark as well as two gilded marks that are worn and no longer legible.
