An early four-pieces sterling silver coffee or tea serve set by Hector Aguilar (1905-1986) circa 1940-1945 per mark "HA, Taxco, 940". The mid-century modernist silverware set consists of a rectangular tray with rounded corners and sculpted edges, a coffee or tea pot, a creamer or milk jug and a waste bowl. The hollow wares feature robust rounded body with stylized handles and beak-like sprout with hammered surface. The handle of the tea pot also has wood accent. All four pieces were marked the same as shown.
The tea pot is 6.5"h x 7.5"w x 5.5"d; The tray is 0.5"h, 15.5"w, 12.75"d; About 72.49 Troy Ounces in total weight
