The book is illustrated with printed Photogravures by Arthur Fellig known by his pseudonym Weegee. He was a photographer and photojournalist known for his "stark" black and white street life photography. His raw and graphic depiction of crime scenes, famous people, stolen intimate moments became famous when tabloid newspapers went into mass circulation after the first world war. A very important photography book of the 20th century.
