3. The Bore size is I.D. of Tube, not the O.D of tube. also to check your Pin to Pin size that is important for installation. If the cylinder pin to pin size is little small than your installation, it is no problem in most case that you just pull out rod a little for installation. but if the cylinder pin to pin size is longer than your application, you can not install it on.
2" Bore and 2.5" bore cylinder has same installation size, 2.5" cylinder just has 0.5" bigger Bode size. So in most case, 2.5" cylinder can replace 2" bore size.
