Adventure Kings 75L Dual Zone Portable Camping Fridge Freezer + 12V Control Box

Kings 75L Fridge / Freezer 12V & 240V Fits 112 Cans For Home, Car & Camping

The Adventure Kings 75L Dual Zone Fridge / Freezer means you can keep food and drinks refrigerated as well as frozen on your next trip away, whether it’s for a weekend or an entire week! Overall it’ll fit a huge 112 cans and it runs directly off your car’s 12V socket – it’s easy to use and super useful!

This is a real fridge that uses a compressor to cool down, just like your fridge at home! It’s efficient and chills fast yet it’s still light enough that it’s easy to carry in and out of your vehicle! It runs directly off your vehicle’s 12V cig socket and it comes with a 240V power point cord so you can use it at home, in the car or by plugging it into a separate battery bank (available separately).

With an Adventure Kings Fridge you don’t need to buy ice, there’s no mess or leaks and no more soggy food. Plus you can set the temperature anywhere from +10°C all the way down to -18°C so whether you need a wine cooler, a beer fridge or a chest freezer you’re set!

Plus, the Dual Zone functionality means you can have the best of both worlds! Set both sides as a fridge, both as a freezer or one of each. You can even turn either compartment completely off to save power if you don’t need all the space. It’s easy to set both too, thanks to the two LCD screens that correspond to the two compartments.

With a 75L internal capacity, you’re able to fit plenty of food and drinks inside for the whole family – or a whopping 112 standard size cans – but the fridge itself is still lightweight and compact, weighing only 19.5kg when empty and measuring under 90cm long.

Inside there’s a wire basket in each compartment which makes packing the fridge simple and along with the internal LED lights that automatically come on whenever you open the lid, finding and grabbing your favourite snack is easy!

The design means it’s easy to carry, with moulded handles to save on space and minimise extra weight. The insulated lid is reversible so you can tailor it to your vehicle or setup and the flat top makes the perfect area to serve up some snacks and drinks.

With plenty of benefits and features an Adventure Kings 75L Fridge / Freezer offers great value to anyone looking to upgrade from a cooler bag, icebox or thermo cooler!

WHY CHOOSE A COMPRESSOR FRIDGE?

You might have seen other coolers on the market that are priced similarly to Adventure Kings fridge-freezers – but don’t be fooled, they’re not real fridges!

They’re what’s known as thermo-coolers or thermoelectric coolers – and sometimes it’s not obvious whether they’re real fridges or not. It’s a case of buyer beware – you need to do your research.

A thermo-cooler uses a constant supply of power through an electrical circuit that creates heat on one side of a thermoelectric component and cooling on the other. The cool side is placed inside the ‘fridge’ and the heated side is placed on the outside of the ’fridge’. This means they constantly need power in order to cool – and half the energy is going into creating heat inside your vehicle!

The other problem is they’re only able to cool down to around 25°C below ambient. Leave a thermo-cooler in your car on a hot day and as the car heats up to 40 or even 50° the thermo-cooler is only able to cool down to 15 or 25°C – that’s definitely not cold enough to safely keep your food!

On the other hand, a compressor fridge like all Adventure Kings fridge-freezers circulates refrigerant throughout the fridge walls to keep the contents cold – once the desired temperature has been reached the compressor cycles on and off to regulate the temperature and save power. Plus another advantage of a compressor fridge is the superior cooling ability! Able to cool down to around 50°C below ambient, even on the hottest days it’ll keep your food and drinks icy cold!

Compressor fridges (like the Adventure Kings range) are more efficient, are able to cool to a much lower temperature and can even be used as a freezer! There’s a reason your fridge at home uses a compressor. So, do your research as some ‘fridges’ that seem to offer good value aren’t really fridges at all!

12V Control Box

This is the Adventure Kings 12V control Box – a feature packed bit of gear that will make anyone’s 12V setup better! If you’ve been dreaming of an epic camping 12v system, then this is the bit of gear you’ve been waiting for. An ultra-premium quality product, without the premium price tag!

First, the box itself is built with laser cut 1.5mm powder coated aluminium and the lid is 2mm thick for strength. Coming in at 400mm by 305mm and 80mm deep, it’s compact enough to fit just about anywhere while still providing plenty of room for all the switches, wiring and 12v gear.

Going from the outside in, there’s a grommet on each side which makes it easy to position and wire this up, no matter where you want to mount it.

On the front you’ll notice the space at the top left, along with the extra grommet – this space is designed so you can mount a DCDC charger directly onto the box – feed the wiring through the grommet and you can wire up to the internal posts for an all-in-one install.

Next up there’s an easy to access fuse holder – these fuses run the switches, plugs and sockets that run along the bottom of the control box.

From left to right you’ve got 2 quick connect plugs – the first can be easily configured as a solar input for your DCDC charger. Then there’s a voltmeter, three 20A-rated cig sockets and a double USB socket with 1amp and 2.1amp USB connections.

Above that you’ll see 5 x 16Amp rated rocker switches – these are pre wired with fused power so you can easily switch any added accessories and circuits on and off. You even get a sheet of pre-labelled stickers to customise your setup for your own needs!

The face screws off and inside you’ve got a negative bus bar and negative M10 binding post as well as two positive binding posts for your starter and auxiliary batteries. That means wiring up both batteries for a dual battery system is easy!

With heavy duty wiring the Adventure Kings 12V control box is ready to go – all you need to do is add fused power from your battery. Plus because it uses ring and spade terminals, it’s easy to modify, upgrade or update the whole setup as you go. Whether it’s changing the quick connect plug to become your DCDC charger’s solar input, or using the switches to trigger relays and run all your vehicle’s camp lighting and 12V accessories.

The Adventure Kings 12V control box will take your 12V setup to the next level – whether you’re using it as a power hub directly off your deep cycle battery, or connecting a dual battery system complete with a DCDC charger.
