DIDIEREA MADAGASCARIENSIS - OCTOPUS TREE
It comes from Madagascar. It is a woody succulent that grows as a thorny, thinly branched, succulent, small tree, growing to a height of about 6-10 m. It is a typical plant of the thorn forest in south-west Madagascar. The thin, gray-green, dry leafy leaves are well protected between the large, branched spines. The flowers are inconspicuous, and male and female flowers appear on separate plants. A very unusual plant for a dry tropical or warm temperate garden.
