DYPSIS PRESTONIANA - TAVILO PALM

The Tavilo palm is a large, beautiful palm tree from only a few sites in eastern and south-eastern Madagascar, where it grows in a damp forest. It forms a clearly overgrown, very stout trunk, up to 40 cm in diameter and up to 12 m in height, which supports a large crown of densely pinned up rising leaves. The massive bases of the leaves are whitish and do not form a closed crown. The seeds are small and spindle-shaped. This species will perform well in most tropical and many warm temperate climates up to USDA zone 9b.

This auction is for 3 fresh seeds.
