Tropic straps were used in the 1960's & 1970's by most of the the main watch brands: Heuer, Breitling, Omega, Lip, Blancpain, Yema, etc. Tropic Straps were made by the Swiss company Bollier S.A. 

Bollier was a watchstrap maker that had been making leather watch straps for a long when they decided to create the 100 % waterproof Tropic strap. Tropic straps were made in many different colours. Tropic straps were Swiss made.
