This is one of several hand-made woven trays acquired in Kenya in the late 1970s, so it is over 40 years old.  The condition is nearly new, as they were only lightly used before being kept in storage from 1984 until now;  such ethnic items were not in keeping with the ambience of my old period cottage.  Having recently down-sized, my collectables are now ready for their own fresh start.  

The tray is hand-made from natural materials into a distinct striped pattern and is of a sturdy quality.  The tray is a good size for decorative or utilitarian use.  If an ethnic look is desired, it can be hung either individually or collectively with other trays.  Alternatively, it can be used to hold fruit, vegetables or whatever you like.
