Lovely late 18th or early 19thC tin glazed plate decorated by hand with roses and floral sprays and a puce border imitating the moulded shell edge plates of the period. Unsure of the origins, the plate appears to have both European and British characteristics, it has been suggested that the origin of the plate is Les Islettes, France however the base does not conform to the typical shape of this period and is most probably English and from Yorkshire.

Measures 24cm(9.45") in diameter.

Good overall condition, some slight fritting to the rim, some surface scratching, stilt marks to the base and some kiln detritus in the glaze on the underside of the rim. No cracks, chips or restoration.
