Rare DeWald “Harp” A501 Catalin AM Radio

Up for Sale a Rare DeWald “Harp” A501 Catalin AM radio from 1946. Beautifully marbleized butterscotch, Catalin DeWald model A-501 'Harp' is a magnificent, exquisitely crafted Art Deco radio. This stunning model has to be one of the most musically inspired radio designs and because of this has become known to collectors as the 'Lyre' or 'Harp' DeWald.

The Catalin has a deep shine, rich color, and glow and also has striking colorful yellow and orange marbleizing that look like veins of fire running through the cabinet. The radio is in original condition and is just a stunning example of this DeWald model.

This beautiful set is in great condition. The butterscotch pinwheel knobs are original to the radio. The radio retains its original curved dial glass and the gold herringbone pattern grill cloth showing only a small amount of wear. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some wear on the panel which has a crack as seen in the picture. This is truly a remarkable radio in vintage condition that would make for a great addition to any radio or Art Deco collection.
