This book is the author's incredible account of his experiences as a war correspondent for the BBC during World War II, including the retreat of the British Eighth Army in North Africa, the fighting in Italy, and the invasion of Europe and ultimate victory. The book is in very good condition; the spine is tight, and the cover is clean with minor scuffing and/or bumping.  The pages clear and easily readable with minor yellowing.  The unclipped dust jacket has minor to moderate chipping and is in good condition.  

This book is fascinating and would be an excellent addition to anyone's book collection.

The book is about 6" x 8-1/2" x 1-1/2", 496 pages, and about 2-3 lbs.+/- with packaging.
