Pilgrim is a dual purpose hop variety which was developed at the Hop Research Institute in Wye, Kent and released in 2000. It has the same father as First Gold and Herald and is a fantastic hop for both bittering and aroma. It imparts a traditional English bitterness which provides an excellent base for best bitters and pale ales and a well-rounded, full-bodied character which complements the darker malt colours. Flavour notes include spice, cedar and honey and its higher levels of Humelene and Selinene give it a refreshing ‘hoppy’ aroma.

These top brewing industry quality hop pellets are supplied in a heavy duty resealable pouch with a tamper proof seal to preserve their freshness and quality.

Hop pellets are destalked ground hops pressed into little pellets. Use about 10% less than you would when using leaf hops with a similar alpha level. Hop pellets can be preserved longer and are usually available for a longer period of time during the course of the season.
