"The Beauty Brassiere"
The Marja Brassiere Company in Jacksonville, Texas was in business from 1939 to 1969.
The company was started by Marja Hamlin and her husband.
Marja had been designing and making bras for herself and friends while she was in high school and college.
Many of their bras were innovative for the time. During WW2 there was a fabric shortage and she bought parachute material for her company to use for bra making. She designed the innovative swoop style strapless long line bra that was constructed with boning to enhance shaping and uplift. This was very popular at the time.
