There are a number of YouTube videos on the internet advising you to stretch your spring to 90mm.

DONT ! Yes you will get extra power for a brief time, after this when the spring contracts back to size, it actually becomes shorter and weaker resulting in a significant loss of power.

If when fitting our spring it is slightly tight on the spring guide, this is not a fault with the spring, these springs are British made to high tolerances, sadly SMK guns are not.

To resolve this, put the guide in a hand drill, start it going slowly and use emery cloth between fore finger and thumb to take a couple of thou off the guide.

This will only be required on around 1 in 100 guns.
