On a cold morning when you are rushing to work, but the car failed to start? The cause of this may be a flat battery. When your battery runs down and can’t start your vehicle, it’s important to determine if it’s drained and needs to be recharged, or it’s too weak to hold a charge.
This battery tester checker can accurately test the health status of most 12V lead-acid battery types:
ü Regular-Flooded, AGM Flat Plate, AGM Spiral, GEL, and EFB within 100-2000 CCA. Offering a much wider test range than standard battery testers on the market.
ü Multiple rating systems are supported, including CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE, and GB.
ü Applications for a broad array of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, aquatic vehicles, and many more.

Battery Health TestAccurate and speedy. Once you connect this 12V battery load tester to battery terminals, you’ll get the readings of CCA values/ratings, voltages, internal resistance, state of health (SOH), and state of charge (SOC) in 3 seconds, with concise results like “GOOD, BAD, REPLACE, or RECHARGE” for quick checkups. |
Cranking TestIf your car battery is 4 or more years old, this battery load tester helps predict if the battery will fail to start the vehicle. The BT50 will show you the cranking time in milliseconds, and record the lowest voltage that the battery is able to maintain while the starting motor is working. If the result is < 9 volts, you need a battery replacement. |
Charging TestIf you find the engine has difficulty continually running while traveling, switch this car battery tester to the charge testing mode with the vehicle running. If the battery and alternator are good, the result should be between 14.2~14.5 volts. Lower than this means your alternator or parts of the charging system need to be investigated. |
This car battery tester is ready to work right out of the box. It’s simple, straightforward, and requires no setup. Operating is a breeze:
1. Turn off the ignition, accessories, and loads.
2. Make sure the battery terminals are clean.
3. Correctly connect the clamps to the battery terminals (Red “+” to Positive; Black “–” to Negative).
4. The BT50 12v battery load tester will power up once it gets connected to the battery you’re testing and is ready to function.
Notice: If the battery voltage is lower than 8V, the BT50 stops the test and displays a message indicating low voltage. Please charge the battery and test again
The battery tester checker will show you one of the following results in minutes:
- GOOD BATTERY: The battery is in good condition.
- GOOD, CHARGING: The battery is good but has a low current; it needs to get recharged.
- REPLACE: The battery is almost dead, or there is a poor connection between the battery and the tester. Replace the battery or test it again. An out-of-vehicle test is recommended for a second test.
- RETEST AFTER CHARGING: Fully charge the battery and retest it. If the same reading occurs after the battery is fully charged, replace it.
BAD CELL, REPLACE: The battery is broken, interiorly damaged, or has short circuit. Replace the battery.
