Offered here is a beautifully toned Mexico 8 Reales cob minted between 1598-1621 under assayer "F" Francisco de Morales. This coin boasts a full and complete shield on the obverse with strong 8 denomination, "M" Mexico mint mark, and "F" assayers mark. On the reverse, this cob shows a beautiful and complete castles and lions within the quadrifoil. Both sides of this stunning piece show a very attractive and unique rainbow toning in select spots. In addition, this coin was minted during the time of the famous shipwreck of the Nuestra Senora de Atocha! This coin is extremely unique and rare, a perfect piece for any collector!
