Hood has been used,  it is not damaged in any way. I don't see any cracks or dents. This lens hood is fully operational and functions as intended.  I would rate it an 8, on a scale from 1 to 10. 

   

Hood is made of metal. Thread size is 49mm. It has 58mm threads in the front.
