ANTIQUE HILGER & SONS MARKED LONG AMPUTATION SAW TOOL with NO BLADE & WOODEN HANDLE

This is an antique iron tool that was used as an amputation saw I believe. Probably dates to the mid to late 1800s. Tool has a long iron portion that is marked with the makers name on one side, "Hioger & Sons". The tool, has a wooden knob handle. There is no blade available with this saw. It seems to be in pretty good condition otherwise overall for its age. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Saw measures about 21" long overall with a 12" portion where the blade would have been placed. Wonderful and hard-to-find old Hilger & Sons saw would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
