Over the last few months, I have been testing out different color gel sheets as a way to make stylized Polaroids. I figured other folks may be interested in a "plug and play" method for colorized shots and I have made a few for sale online.

I was originally inspired by Polaroid's official Duochrome 600 film selection. I decided to go my method because of Polaroid's overall lack of Duochrome available colors. I also wanted to avoid having to stock up on multiple color packs, which can take up a lot of space in your fridge!

I am using photo studio grade Lee gel filters. The "light blue" color I used creates beautiful shots that offer a unique look compared to the standard Polaroid color look.

I shot a batch of test shots using my Polaroid Sun 660 with Polaroid 600 film with no exposure compensation adjusted. It was a bright day and I was shooting into the sun for many shots. The filter does not seem to result in light loss (darker photos). Your results may vary.

The filter is very easy to install. All you need to do is place the filter on top of your film cartridge, tuck in two opposite sides, and tape down the remaining. It’s as simple as that! The filters are detachable and reusable.

Some filters may have light surface level marks – this is expected with Lee ND filters and does not impact the overall photo quality.

I ship filters out in an envelope via USPS. USPS does not provide tracking numbers for letter envelope shipments.  If you buy more than one, there is a 20% discount on all filters.

I hope this inspires you to get out there and take some pictures! Happy shooting!
