Bought some of these as part of mixed glassware lot from an antiques dealer in Caen (Normandy) about 20yrs ago.
Made in St Helens UK by United Glass Bottle Manufacturers Ltd one of the major suppliers to the British Army in WW2

Fastened with “Vulcanite” internal screw stoppers.
Stopper fits perfectly . Vulcanite also known as Ebonite is an amazingly durable substance as over 80yrs old they are still in very good condition
Of the era, but maybe not original to the bottle contents.
Pre,During,and Post War these type of bottles were deposit bottles and reused again and again.
Bottles and stoppers washed and sterilised seperately so all got mixed up
Stoppers are Marked with capital A and B31 B33, B38, B41.respectively
