to the design and height of the temperature sensor in the 300tdi engines, when there is coolant loss the sensor actually starts to measure the air around the sensor. The gauge responds as if it’s actually cooling when in fact the opposite is happening and leads to dangerous unknown overheating. This system will warn the driver when the coolant drops below the centre level of the TDIs tank giving plenty of time to pull over and check the system. The alarm and Flashing LED work in conjunction with each other so there is no risk of missing the fault. A test button is wired into the circuit to allow piece of mind that the system is working.

The install is etremely easy and can be mounted pretty much anywhere the user wants it. A common placement is to mount the LED and Test button on the dash with the alarm and circuit board unit sitting behind the clocks. Behind the clocks the user can get ignition 12v and a Negative connection and feed the cable through the rubber grommet to link up to the float switch.

This alarm plugs onto the PRC7925 or PRC7925P (not supplied)

Click Here for our alarm with the PRC7925 included.

The LED is a red/blue flashing type clear transparent when off.

There is a test button that confirms the alarm is working correctly.

Ring terminal on ground wire.

This alarm will also work with most other float switches and without any changes.

Some float switches have the option of N/C or N/O contacts, The sensor wires are connected to the N/C pair.
Some are N/C only and can be used.
Some are N/O only an
d cannot be used.
N/C means:- Normally closed contacts.
N/O means:- Normally open contacts.

Testimony from a happy customer who convinced me to adapt our eisting alarm for use with the Land Rover :-

Good Morning,

I just wanted to say I’m glad you’ve started making the Land Rover low coolant sensors after we spoke as I feel it’s a great use of your fantastic system. This message is mainly to say thanks as this kit saved my defender this year when I had a water pump issue. I drove down to Cornwall and all was fine. But then after half way through my holiday, every time I would brake the alarm would suddenly go off and then reset as the water shifted back, this hadn’t happened on my journey down so I concerned, turns out water was p’ing out the pump. Long story short, your alarm combined with the range rover float switch works amazingly.

Thanks for a great design!

Cris Aldrige.
